I don't usually blog much in the summertime. The purpose of this website is to keep our family and friends informed of news while we are outside the US. So, I generally don't post much until we are back in Nigeria in August. But, this story is just too bizarre not to mention.
You may know that Stacey's father just had surgery. AJ is progressing in his recovery and we have been back and forth to Baton Rouge the past weekend. It turns out that the surgeon who performed the surgery on him was Dr. Anna Pou who is now charged with second degree murder for allegedly euthanizing several patients at Memorial Baptist Hospital following Hurricane Katrina last summer. The story is still developing, but I saw it on CNN this morning and it has now been reported that she has been arrested and then later released.
We will be keeping up with this story and with AJ's recovery as it develops.
