Bayou Dog | Pableaux Johnson:Parts of Uptown have started a post-storm boom -- it's one of the advantages of being historical high ground. So many of the smaller homegrown businesses have opened their doors again, including (somewhat confoundingly) the many, many froofy boutiques around town. We're just about a week into the "potable water" zone, but you can get your fill of high-dollar antiques, custom jewelry and bridal accessories along certain stretches of Magazine Street.
